A no-fly zone map has revealed the areas in Berkshire where it is illegal to fly a drone.
According to the app Drone Buddy, Slough and Windsor are largely no-fly zones due to their proximity to Heathrow Airport.
Previously drones have been flown within 3 feet of planes, prompting emergency responses on several occasions.
On Heathrow Airport's website, it states: "The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has designated certain areas around airports as 'no-fly zones' for drones, and it is illegal to fly a drone in these areas without permission from the airport and the CAA.
"If a drone is spotted in the vicinity of an airport, it can cause serious disruption to flight operations, as planes may have to be diverted or grounded until the drone is safely removed."
The area above Windsor Castle is also a restricted fly zone, with emergency services and the Royal Family the only people permitted to fly over the area.
An area of Ascot encompassing Ascot Racecourse Heliport also regularly has a no-fly zone in place, often enforced through Royal Ascot events.
Other areas in east Berkshire where you cannot legally fly without permission include White Waltham Airfield in Maidenhead.
Several airstrips in Reading also have no-fly zones in place when active. These are Hopkiln Farm Airstrip, Harpsden Park Airstrip, Whittles Farm Airstrip, Englefield Airstrip, Brimpton Airfield and Siege Cross Farm Airstrip.
