A primary school in Warfield has been congratulated for its part in an environmental initiative.
EcoRewards offers rewards and incentives for schools, businesses and communities in Bracknell Forest to encourage residents and students to choose greener travel and healthy lifestyle options.
Warfield CE Primary School has received the EcoRewards major achievement award!
Bracknell Forest Council said: "The school has demonstrated exceptional performance in promoting greener travel by totalling 1.2 million Eco Reward points - that's 13,409 green miles and saving 4.2 tonnes of CO2e.
"A new School of the Year competition has been launched for 2024, with winners being recognised for their improvement in active travel, so get involved."
The EcoRewards programme hopes that collectively participants could save on fuel costs and reduce their CO2 emissions by 1000s tonnes.
