An unplanned power outage has left 42 customers across Bracknell Forest without electricity.

According to Scottish and Southern Electricity Network, the first power cut was reported at 12:52 pm today (25/12) on New Wokingham Road.

Affected postcodes included RG45 6TJ, RG45 6TL and RG45 6TP.

An engineer is currently on site with the aim of getting power back by 9 pm tonight.

The second power outage was reported at 1:58pm today (25/12) just outside Bracknell town centre on Holly Spring Lane.

Six postcodes and 25 customers have been affected, including RG12 2DZ, RG12 2JL, RG12 2JP, RG12 2LW, RG12 2QX, RG42 3TR.

The engineer is on route to the site to reinstate the power by 5:05pm.

The power supplier said: "We're sorry for the loss of supply.

"We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.

"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can."
