AN annual award ceremony to celebrate the best across Bracknell is back with nominations opening this week.

Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards, launched in 2005, showcase the very best of Bracknell Forest’s community and bring together ‘incredible individuals and good causes’ across education, business, sport, the local government and voluntary organisations.

The awards span many different categories in order to celebrate the breadth of local achievements, including schools, teachers, businesses, young people, charities, and individuals who have gone above and beyond for services to their community.

Nominations are now open following hundreds of fantastic nominations submitted last year. The winners were celebrated at a star-studded awards gala.

This year the committee is hoping for even more nominations to help thank those who deserve it the most.

The committee said: “Do you know a local hero who goes above and beyond in your community? Do you work for a charity dedicated to helping local people?
