A loving father described as a classic Bracknell boy has died in a car crash - just weeks after his wife suffered a miscarriage.

Tom Nash died in a car accident while heading to work on Friday, August 25, leaving his family utterly devastated.

His devastated wife Madison said she and their son James were woken up to the heartbreaking news he had been killed at around 5.30am.

Speaking to the News, Madison has said that his absence has left a void that words can never describe - and shared the tragic news that his death had come just weeks after she suffered a miscarriage.

Describing it as the worst two weeks of her life, Madison said: “I went from a family of four to a pair in the space of two weeks and I can’t understand how that happens, I’m still trying to piece it together.

“Tom and I had such promise and I’m currently grieving a future which James and I are never going to have. You can show memories and reminisce about the past but how do you articulate the loss of a future?

“It feels like a broken bone, a fracture, and a life that I am trying to sew back together.”

She sound herself tragically sitting beside his coffin on September 8 - writing his eulogy - on their wedding anniversary.

The family was set to fly off for a holiday in Greece to celebrate both the couple’s five-year wedding anniversary and James’ second birthday.

Tom Nash has been described as a classic Bracknell boy with a cheeky smile and infectious laughter whose dream was to be the best Dad and husband that he could be for his family.

James’ four godparents have set up a GoFundMe page in memory of Tom. They say they want to make sure his future is in line with the dreams that Madison and Tom planned together with him.

Writing on the fundraising page, they wrote: “Just coming up to his second birthday, James has his whole life ahead of him, one that should be filled with the dreams and aspirations Tom held close to his heart.

“We envisage the milestones that would have been the first football match, learning to play the sport his daddy loved, signing up for the first team, the many holidays they would have all cherished together, right up to the anticipation of his seventeenth birthday, where Tom would have ensured James had the best car for his driving lessons. And everything else in between.”
