A Crowthorne neighborhood was left without water today (7/9) after two water mains burst on New Wokingham Road.
Engineers from Southeast Water were discharged to the site after gallons of water were seen flowing down the side of the road.
According to a resident, nearby homes were left with dry taps for most of the day.
Work began to fix the burst main at around 1:59 p.m. when multi-way traffic lights were installed to mitigate the traffic disruptions.
South East Water’s Distribution Manager, Mathew White said: “We identified a burst water main on the afternoon of Thursday 7 September and our team immediately set about making the necessary repairs, which were completed in the early hours of Friday 8 September.
“We know how frustrating leaks can be and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We take leaks seriously and want to thank those who report them to us. You can follow the progress of repairs by using our interactive map.”
