A PARK in Crowthorne gets ready to open next month after the grand opening date is extended.
The redevelopment project started on Morgan Recreational Ground, on June 26, to build a new Ninja Trail playground.
Initial plans outlined a five-week installation project but “sadly the project is overrunning a little”, a spokesperson from Crowthorne Parish Council said.
The Ninja Trail, which will now open at a grand opening event on Friday, September 8, has a ninja wall, monkey bars, and a stopwatch to time yourself.
PE staff from Edgebarrow School will be on hand to cut the ribbon.
The grand opening event will also have instructors demonstrating the equipment, a girls’ football team showing off their skills, and free ice cream, the Parish Council said.
Also part of the Morgan Recreational Ground redevelopment, a new exercise track was recently opened by pupils from Wildmore Heath School, and The Ark and Crowthorne Preschool.
