A popular park run event celebrated its 100th park run in Sandhurst.

On Saturday, June 3, over 200 runners, joggers and walkers completed a 5k course at Sandhurst Memorial Park.

In total, 218 people attended to mark the occasion.

The first Sandhurst Memorial Parkrun was on December 7, 2019 and since then 4,997 people have finished the course, between them 13,426 times.

The park run is a free event run entirely by volunteers, of which 30 supported the event this week.

It is run every Saturday, starting at 9am.

Individuals who have been participating in the parkrun since the start wore a black t-shirt celebrating a personal achievement of meeting the 100 parkrun milestones.

Mayor of Sandhurst Cllr Ray Mossom and the Mayoress Margaret Mossom attended the special events and met with the Run Director Sarah Gray and some of the volunteers.
