A Bracknell warehouse is rumoured to be converted into studios for the new series of the Amazon Prime spin-off of Lord of the Rings – The Ring of Power’.

According to reports, the team will be taking over the warehouse for filming of the new Lord of the Rings series which has been filming across a variety of Berkshire locations.

The Amazon warehouse was origionally built as a new Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFE) and according to sources working within the warehouse, has been sublet to Amazon Studios / Tolkien Enterprises.

Local Bracknell man, Robin Mason, is part of the team that is completing the final stages of work within the building on Lovelace Road.

Robin said: “We’ve been doing the preliminary power work and finishing this week; we were descended on by a large group of production guys. They told us that they are moving in over the next few weeks as they move out of Ascot Racecourse.

"We were doing the final load testing of the buildings power before they move in."

Filming for the new Amazon Prime Lord of the Rings series has been set across different Berkshire locations including Swinley Forest and Bray.

It is believed that the move to the Bracknell location is related to the fire which halted filming at Bray studios near Windsor last month.

This occured when RBFRS were called to an electrical fire at the studios.

The arrival of Shinfield Studios, which will be the 4th largest film studio location in the UK, is also thought to bring many production companies to the Reading area.
