A LUCKY radio listener in Bracknell has been handed a life-changing £1,000,000 in a dramatic competition final held in London.

For 12 weeks, Radio station Heart has been hosting a compeititon for listeners to get in touch when they hear certain artists play.

The Heart Make Me a Millionaire competition gives hundreds of listeners the chance to either take home anything between £1,000 to £25,000, or go into the draw for the Million Pound Final.

2. Driver's warning after parking fine at Bracknell Tesco

Bracknell News:

 

A man has issued a warning to fellow drivers after being fined for parking for less than half an hour at a Tesco in Bracknell.

The fine, called a penalty charge notice (PCN), was issued after the man undertook chores having parked at the Tesco Bracknell North Superstore in County Lane, Warfield.

3. Man jailed 36 years after assaulting and kidnapping girl, 3

Bracknell News:

A man has been jailed for decades after kidnapping and sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl in Bracknell.

Robert Frid, aged 77, of no fixed abode, was jailed at Reading Crown Court today (April 24) adding a further sentence to other unconnected sexual offences, for which the earliest he can be considered for parole is 2027.

Over 36 years since Frid committed the crime in 1986, Thames Valley Police’s Cold Case Team have brought him to justice.

4. The Lexicon to open new homeware store Søstrene Grene

A new Danish homeware store is set to open in Bracknell town centre this summer.

The international lifestyle brand has said that they are excited about bringing their new store to the Lexicon as part of their UK expansion scheme.

Søstrene Grene new store concept, Retail for the Senses, is described as a labyrinth store layout with Nordic inspired aesthetics.

5. Bracknell parking enforcers slammed for handing woman fine

Bracknell News:

A driver in Bracknell has complained that 'authoritarian' officers are "out in force " after being hit with a parking fine.

Minnie Russnak-Johnston, aged 52, has been served with a penalty charge notice (PCN) after parking in the Weather Way car park in the town centre earlier this month.

She paid via mobile phone but got one character on her number plate wrong, which led to her being fined, leading her to accuse parking officers of acting in an 'authoritarian' and 'inflexible' manner.
