The Swinley Forest film set is well underway to completion after rumours of a Lord of the Ring’s – Ring of Power series started circulating in February 2023.
Drone pictures taken by resident Jake Reed show structures that resemble castle walls being constructed within the grounds.
These developments were originally seen by walkers around the Swinley Forest area when building work started at the site in February.
Buttersteep Rise was earmarked as a prime filming location in 2021 when a US production company choose the section of Swinley Forest for a new TV series.
We have contacted The Crown Estate who manage the grounds within Swinley Forest and are awaiting confirmation as to what the mysterious structure may be leading to.
