Changes could be made to a huge development of 193 flats in Bracknell town centre if plans submitted recently are approved.

The adaptations relate to the apartment blocks that have replaced Amber House and Northgate House in Market Street.

Much of the construction work appears to be complete, but the developers have applied to reduce car parking and make changes to cycle and waste storage.

Elsewhere, a plan has been submitted to replace a bungalow with two homes in Ascot and a Morrisons in the area could be getting a car wash.

Those behind the Market Street development to build 193 flats have applied to make changes to the car parking plan, cycle storage and waste storage.

The developers want to reduce the number of car parking spaces and change the barrier to security gates for the car park area, change the position to the cycle stores, and change the location of the refuse store.

Construction work is nearly complete, with the development sprouting up during the pandemic.

Here, a landowner has applied to replace 28 King Edwards Road in Ascot with two new detached  homes.

The existing house is a bungalow, which would be demolished to make way for two two-storey houses.

Each home would come with a living room, study, an open plan kitchen and dining room and double beds. It is unclear how many bedrooms are intended, plans for the homes show three beds on the first floor.

It is understood that an extra bedroom could be provided in the lofts of the homes.

Outside, each would come two parking spaces, with one ready for electric vehicle charging, a garden and trees.

Morrisons has applied for advertising for a proposed car wash at its store in the Woosehill shopping centre.

According to the supermarket’s planning agents, the car wash would provide a a ‘wash whilst you shop’ service.

Nine standard parking spaces would be lost to make way for a covered hand car wash.

The new facility would be situated right at the back of the car park, right next to the public recycling bins.

A developers has applied to make changes to a plan to build four homes on a triangular patch of green land in Hurst.

The site is set for two four-bedroom homes and two semi detached three-bedroom homes on land at the junction of Sawpit Road and School Road, with access from Sawpit Road.

Although the four homes were refused by Wokingham Borough  Council’s planning department, the development was approved on appeal under reference 211532 in August 2022.

Now, developers have applied to make changes to the approved scheme, relating to approved drawings, materials used, landscaping, cycle storage and  drainage.
