FIRE crews have been scrambled to a reported house fire in Wokingham.
Teams of firefighters from Wokingham Road, Wokingham, and Whitley Wood stations rushed to the scene in Chatsworth Avenue shortly before 2.30pm on Sunday (March 5) afternoon.
Three fire engines were spotted at the scene as the area was taped off by firefighters, with reports it was responding to a kitchen fire.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "After ensuring that the occupants and their pet cats were safe, firefighters equipped in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and carbon dioxide extinguishers.
"Crews were on the scene for approximately 50 minutes."
