The Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards, celebrating the best and the brightest across the Bracknell area is just around the corner.

Now in it’s 17th year, the deadlines for nominations are soon approaching giving anyone the chance to nominate someone who may have gone above and beyond this year.

This could be a business that really gives back, a budding young athlete or simply someone who you think should be celebrated.

On April 21, the Awards Gala will take place once again in the Historic Military Academy in Sandhurst promising a night in celebration of our local heroes.

The focus for the 2023 awards is driving community support for the young people who have exceeded expectations.

From the John Nike Young Person’s Award, Sport & Leisure Young Person’s Awards and School of the year, a huge emphasis is being placed on the youth of today and their achievements.

Following the lead of The Lexicon Awards, the team at Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards have decided to introduce a new category called the  ‘Community Contribution Award’.

This award’s aim is to shine the spotlight on those who have gone above and beyond in the community and will be specially selected by the Awards Committee for their exceptional contributions.

A committee of 10 officials from across the Bracknell Forest areas will make up the judges in this year's nominating panel.

The categories this year include:

  • The John Nike Pride of Bracknell Forest Young Person’s Award
  • The John Nike Pride of Bracknell Forest Adult’s Award
  • School of the Year
  • Teacher of the Year
  • Business of the Year
