“WE can all cry a thousand tears but it will not bring him home”.

This is the heart-breaking message from a friend of a young Wokingham man who tragically died in a road traffic accident last week.

Daniel Davies, 21, was one of three Berkshire men killed in Eastbourne, Sussex, on Monday, February 13. He died alongside Jonny Day, 32, and Jon “Tommy” Miller.

Two men, aged 38 and 40, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They have been released on conditional bale.

Devastated loved ones have paid tribute to the victims, with a fundraising page created to support the families they have left behind.

Writing to raise money in Daniel’s memory, a friend has written: “Daniel’s mum has asked me for help. She is broken. Daniel’s brothers are broken. All his family and friends are devastated.

“Daniel sadly passed away in a horrific car accident. He was only 21 years old, gone too soon.

“Daniel has touched many hearts in his short life, but he was loved by so many. We all can cry a thousand tears, but it will not bring him home.

“Please donate so his family and friends can give Daniel the best send-off he deserves.”

Addressing Daniel, the friend wrote: “We all love you, Dan Dan, and you will be missed so much. Please help bring comfort to his mum ad brothers.

“Thank you so much for everyone that has donated, we really appreciate all the love and support. It means so much.”

So far the page has raised £3,225 in total with more than 115 people coming forward with donations.
