Crowds gathered in Wokingham town centre to celebrate the Chinese New Year on Sunday, January 29.
Hundreds of joyful residents came together to watch the spectacular Pak-Mei Lion Dance Troupe at midday when they performed the traditional Lion Dance.
In Chinese culture, the lion symbolizes power, wisdom, and superiority.
Their presence reported to bring good fortune and chase away evil spirits.
Later on in the day, a traditional Chinese music performance on Ehrhu and Pipa instruments wowed crowds.
Reading Chinese Christian Church hosted arts and crafts activities with the theme of the Lunar New year and families took part in games related to Hong Kong and British Culture.
This year celebrates the Year of the Rabbit. There are 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac, all associated with certain character traits, and the featured animals alternate on a yearly basis.
