A Thames Valley Police officer has been charged with assault following an incident in a popular Bracknell pub.
Sergeant William Gilbert, who is based in Maidenhead police station will appear before Reading Magistrates Court tomorrow (26/1) in connection with an incident at The Admiral Cunningham public house on August 9, 2022.
Gilbert has been charged with one count of assault and one count of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress.
The serving officer has been suspended from duty following the incident.
