A determined 15-year-old gymnast is hoping to be selected to compete in this year’s World Gymnastics Championships for Team GB.
Lottie Clarke, who has performed as part of the GB team on multiple occasions, is from Bracknell and has trained at Pinewood Gymnastics Club from a young age.
This year’s championships follows a successful performance in Bulgaria in 2022 where she finished 6th in her age group.
The enthusiastic teen is currently ranked 2nd in the UK within her age group and specialises in ‘tumbling’.
Lottie posted her success on social media, saying: "Back from my 4th world age group championships and couldn’t be more grateful for yet another opportunity to compete wearing a GBR leotard.
"So happy with how this week turned out for the whole team bearing in mind most were suffering with illness during comp. I completed two runs clean to my feet and couldn’t have asked for anything more.
"Finishing in 6th place this year and ready to go again with some upgrades for home championships next year."
Pinewood Gymnastics club classes are run by fully qualified British Gymnastic coaches, and the club is home to current World Championship Tumbling medallists and Great Britain Squad Team members in both tumbling and Women’s Artistic.
The Trampoline, Tumbling & DMT British Championships is set to take place in Birmingham on September 16 and 17 following last year's competition in Bulgaria.
