Big changes to a private school in Ascot and homes in Wokingham Borough have been applied for so far in 2023.

The Licensed Victuallers School (LVS) Ascot has applied to change its current gates and replace them with timber doors and a ‘living wall’.

In Wokingham Borough, developers have submitted plans to replace existing houses with new homes.

LVS Ascot has applied to replace its current green metal gates with timber doors and a ‘living wall’ with the school’s branding on it.

Pedestrians would enter through a new timber gate and cars would come in through a new wooden gate with swept tops.

Plants will make up a living wall which would also have the school’s branding and an overhanging light for visibility in the evenings.

Application 22/01012/FUL relates to the construction of the replacement entrance and 22/01013/A relates to advertising consent for the new signage.

Mr & Mrs Jacques have applied to demolish a conservatory and make extensions to the grand Manorside house in Forest Road, North Ascot.

The conservatory would be replaced with an extension which would provide a new kitchen and dining room for occupants.

Further extensions would create a larger living room.

Replacement of bungalow with homes in Finchampstead Road (Wokingham app 223614)

Andrew Russell, the owner of 247 Finchampstead Road has applied to replace it with two four-bedroom semi detached homes.

The current house is a bungalow located next to Think Ford Wokingham.

Mr Russell wants to demolish it and put two homes contained in one new building in its place.

Each house would come with an open plan kitchen, living and dining room and toilet on the ground floor, four bedrooms on the first floor, a bathroom and bonus room on the second floor and three car parking spaces outside.

A couple have made changes and submitted details for their plans to demolish and replace the Foxhaven, Whitewoods and Beech View homes in Church Lane, Remenham.

The demolition of these three connected houses to be replaced with one new five bedroom home was approved in October 2022, under reference 221887.

Now, Mr & Mrs Lyndon have adapted their plans so the new five bedroom home would have a basement and be re-sited on the plot to make it more central.

They have also submitted details of the demolition covering its impact on wildlife, which was a condition of the demolition being granted.

The plan for the re-siting of the new home and addition of a basement is covered under reference 223612, and demolition details are covered in application 223780.
