The owners of a popular Bracknell pub are overjoyed after being recognised as Pub of the year in a national awards ceremony celebrating businesses across the UK.

Admiral Cunningham, located in Priestwood attended this year’s Star’s of Stonegate awards when they discovered that they had made it into the top six in their catagory.

Out of 600 community pubs, they walked away with the title of South Coast Divisional Pub of the Year.

The owner and manager of The Admiral Cunningham, Shane Levey said: “26 years and a lifetime of work and it’s the first thing we’ve ever won.

“This award is a testament to our wonderful staff, and we obviously couldn’t do it without them.”

Barry and Teresa Levey attended the Gala evening and ceremony on behalf of the pub at Coombe Abbey on Thursday, November 24.

The ceremony welcomed the finalists, members of their pub teams and their regional managers along the judges and Operational Board.

Admiral Cunningham was recognised for their exceptional work and dedication that has gone into making their business a success over the last 26 years.

Finalists spanned across ten categories, including Best Community Pub, Lifetime Achievement and Pub of the Year.
