A local dog photographer has captured the beauty of the Royal Borough ‘from a dog’s perspective’ in their brand-new collaboration with one of Berkshires leading charities.

The Tails of Windsor and Ascot has been created over the course of 2022 by MIL Pet Photography as part of Tails of the World Collective, an international collaboration of professional pet photographers.

Chris and Sue Miller, UK based specialist dog photographer have created a dynamic book full of charismatic and inspirational pooches specifically from Ascot and Windsor.

"As part of the Tails of the World Collective, we are proud to have authored this photographic coffee table book showcasing dogs from the Royal Borough, specifically in Windsor & Ascot” Miller said.

“All of those involved with the fundraiser have become friends, and we are truly proud to have incorporated so many Dog Lovers and their companions on location around the area that we are privileged to call home.

The charity that the dynamic photographers decided to partner with was Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs. As a volunteer rescue search dog team, they are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist search and rescue teams and emergency services.

The book will include a dedicated chapter to work that the search dogs complete, including their training and techniques.

Chris and Sue have decided that to ensure the book can continue to add value, the profits for all future sales of the book will continue to help the local Search and Rescue dogs in Berkshire.

Graeme Rumbol, Chairman of BSARD said: “Training is such a vital part of preparation for our dogs, and the woods in Ascot are often used for that purpose.

“Chris and Sue are regularly out and about in these same woods and so we were delighted that they wanted to help us and raise funds through this book,”

As Rumbol states in the Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs chapter of the book: “This project has already raised £1,350 for our charity and by purchasing this book, you have added to that.

“Thank you to Chris, Sue and all the dog lovers associated with Tails of Windsor & Ascot.”

MIL Pet Photography are hosting the book launch at Mill Ride Golf Club in Ascot on November 25 where five dog businesses will be joining the Millers to celebrate their success and determination.

Miller added: “It’s been hard work throughout 2022 taking over 20,000 images but we’ve loved every minute of our time with the dogs and all of those involved, with special thanks to those who gave us permission to use their property to photograph from too.

“It has been such a rewarding year, and Sue and I are proud that we have completed the book in time for Christmas 2022 which should mean even more funds for Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs.”
