Legal agreement signed to replace a former pub with eight new flats (21/00217/FUL)

Bracknell News:

The legal agreement has been signed for the construction of new flats at 63 Church Street in Crowthorne.

The site, which was previously occupied by The Mango Tree pub, is located within a Conservation Area, however the original building was not statutorily or locally listed.

The building, which has already been knocked down, will now be replaced with eight two-bedroom flats, two of which will be roof space accommodation.

It is served by a shared accessway, which leads to 17 car parking spaces to the rear, as well as an additional visitor parking space adjacent to the building.

Approved plans to erect a 5G mast on Bull Lane (22/00746/RTD)

Bracknell News:

A plan to install a 20 metre high 5G pole opposite Garth Hill College has been approved by the council.

The applicant, telecoms company CK Hutchison Networks Ltd (H3G), proposes the installation, alongside an antenna and ground-based cabinets, on Bull Lane near the junction of Horsneile Lane.

H3G, whose headquarters are in Reading, operates the 3 networks.

The development will provide educational and commercial benefits, as well as offering improved access to social, media and gaming sites, the company claims.

A pre-consultation period invited comments about the plan, but no objections were lodged against the application by councils or residents. Garth Hil College and Sandy Lane Primary School were also approached as both are in close vicinity of the site.

Plan to demolish buildings on Nine Mile Ride to be replaced with four new houses (223084)

Bracknell News:

An application has been submitted proposing the demolition of buildings at 59 Nine Mile Road in Finchampstead with four new houses.

Submitted by contruction company JoHe Developments Ltd, the plan also outlines details for associated parking and gardens.

The plan proposes one four-bedroom house fronting Nine Mile Ride, with private access off the main entry road into the site and front and rear gardens.

A further three five-bedroom homes would be located within the rear part of the site, comprising two-storey buildings. Houses two and three would have adjoining garages, whilst the fourth plot would have three surface parking spaces.

Plan to convert three agricultural barns into habitable accommodations in Arborfield (222484)

Bracknell News:

Prior approval has been granted to convert three agricultural buildings into habitable accommodation on Swallowfield Road in Arborfield.

This gives the right to start the development, which will see one barn and two grain silos into new homes.

The application is for a change of use of the buildings at Tanners Grain Store, meaning they will all maintain their existing structures.

They will be insulated, re-clad, and re-roofed; with windows, rooflights, and doors installed to make them suitable to live in.
