The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

September 15:

TERRENCE MAUGHAN, 52, of no fixed abode, convicted of assault by beating in Newbury on October 30, 2021. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Reading Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison. Also ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge.

OLIVER MBOLOKENA, 38, of South Street, Reading, admitted using vehicle in public in Auckland Road, Croydon, without the correct insurance on December 26, 2020. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge. Six points added to my driving licence.

ALI RASHID, of Cherry Avenue, Slough, admitted speeding in Station Road, Amersham, on September 17, 2021. Found to be doing 37mph in a 30mph zone. Fined £66 and ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge. Three points added to driving licence.

CALLUM SAUNDERS, 23, of Underwood Road, Reading, admitted driving a motor vehicle on the M5 motorway on March 24, 2022, while disqualified, and without insurance. Given a community order to comply with requirements such as rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Six points added the driving licence.

September 16:

DEON SPENCER, 24, of Windermere Way, Slough, admitted using violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises in Slough on May 23, 2022. Given a community order to comply with requirements such as rehabilitation activity and 180 hours of unpaid work. Made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £630 court costs.

CHRZAN MATEUSZ, 30, of Ragstone Road, Slough, admitted driving a vehicle while disqualified from driving and with no insurance in Herschel Street, Slough, on August 29. Sentenced to 10 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months due to severity of offence, and includes an unpaid work requirement of 120 hours.

MUQADDAS ZAIB, 37, of Hazlemere Road, Slough, admitted failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver when asked by police in Banbury between November 24, 2021, and December 22, 2021. Fined £300. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £100 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.

September 20:

COLIN BLACK, 29, of Oakley Road, Newbury, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from prison by not attending appointments on July 21, 2022, or July 25, 2022. Sentenced to 14 days in prison as defendant didn’t comply with supervision requirements – bail remand enacted.

DONNA WALLACE, 59, of Mill Lane, Earley, convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver when asked by police in Banbury on February 11, 2022. Fined £660. Also ordered to pay £66 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.

September 22:

ADHIS SAJID, 28, of Teesdale Road, Slough, convicted of possessing class B drug cannabis in Slough on November 6, 2020. Fined £50.

LIAM HELSBY, 22, of James Butcher Drive, Reading, admitted assault in Reading on July 2, 2022. Also admitted causing damage to a vehicle, light switch, socket, and two doors in Reading on the same date, and admitted intentionally strangling someone and assault on July 2, 2022, in Reading. Also admitted possessing a quantity of cannabis in Reading on July 2, 2022. Sentenced to 10 months in prison suspended for 24 months due to severity of assault nearly resulting in loss of consciousness. Made subject to electronic monitoring until March 21, 2023, and must undertake 216 hours of unpaid work. Made subject to a restraining order. Fined £60 and must pay £154 compensation. Also ordered to pay £500 court costs.

September 23:

JASON EVANS, 42, of Caversham Road, Reading, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from prison by not attending appointments on May 30, 2022, June 8, 2022, and June 29, 2022. Fined £200.

CHRISTOPHER CHRISTENSEN, 21, of Harrogate Court, Slough, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending unpaid work on July 17, 2022, and August 1, 2022. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 court costs.

KHALID ABAKER, 20, of no fixed abode, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a suspended sentence by not attending unpaid work on May 13, 2022, June 10, 2022, and July 1, 2022. Fined £50.

SAMANTHA HUTCHINSON, 27, of Oldway Lane, Slough, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending appointments on July 7, 2022, August 3, 2022, and August 17, 2022. Ordered to pay £60 court costs.

UMAR KHAN, 29, of Abbotts Way, Slough, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by to attending telephone appointments on June 20, 2022. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £75 court costs.
