Wetherspoons has remained a popular pub chain over the years, with many large towns and cities having more than one as competition.

The quality of different Wetherspoons has sometimes been called into question, which often tarnishes others with the same brush. However, some of the Wetherspoon’s has pub-goers gushing at how much they love their local.

Thousands of you have been sharing your experiences on Google reviews showing the good, the bad and the down-right ugly for all the see.

The reviews have been based on quality of food and drink, customer service, value and cleanliness.

The King & Castle, Windsor

Where: 16-17 Thames St, Windsor SL4 1PL

Rating: 4.2 with 3715 reviews.

Unsuprisingly, the Wetherspoons that comes out on top is the only one located in the beautiful town of Windsor. With Windsor Castle and The Ivy as their neighbours the quality of Windsors establishments are expected to be high.

The pub is praised for it’s food and glorious views over the castle.

And like every good English pub, The King & Castle is even said to have a resident cat called Dexter that is said to be a ‘Windsor Legend’ and is known to stroll into the pub at times.

One reviewer said: “Great breakfast half the price of elsewhere. Free coffee top ups, good and quick service, opposite Windsor castle with castle views. What more do you need :) also do a freedom breakfast which is ok for non-severe gluten free intolerances.

The Moon and Spoon, Slough

Where: 86-88 High St, Slough SL1 1EL

Rating: 4.1 with 1,468 reviews.

Although Wetherspoons is sometimes known as a bit of a ‘boozers pub’, customers have actually said that the Slough Moon and Spoons has very good food.

One regular Wetherspoons customer said: “I've eaten twice here and both times the food quality from the grill was better than the King & Castle in Windsor. The gourmet steak is particularly good.
As ever with Wetherspoons, great value for money.”

Another compared it to it’s neighbouring town’s Wetherspoons saying: “It may be in Slough with all the usual negative connotations but this pub is streets ahead of Maidenhead and Windsor in terms of service, food quality, efficiency and value for money, 5 stars well deserved and 5 stars to the manager.”
