Wimpy has announced its 'disappointment' after supply chain issues delay it’s town centre opening.

The fast-food restaurant which had to delay it’s opening due to Covid in 2020 has once again been forced to put a stop to opening its doors this Summer.

In 2020, the chain submitted plans for the go-ahead marking Wimpy’s return to Princess Square after more than 30-years.

A Wimpy spokesman said: “Due to supply chain issues beyond our control, at present we are unable to give a firm date for the restaurant’s opening.

“We know this will be disappointing, but we are working hard to resolve the situation and as soon as we have more news, we will let people know."

In April 2022, the company announced that husband and wife team Del and Sukhi Ghosal, would be at the helm of Wimpy Bracknell as franchisees.
