An application has been submitted to turn a former tattoo studio into a new bakery in Bracknell.

The currently empty premises, at 10A Rectory Road on Rectory Lane, was the site of the popular InkFusion tattooists until it closed its doors in December 2021.

The company had operated from the Bracknell location since 2011 but expanded to larger premises nearby in 2019.

Now based at Unit 44 Space Business Centre on Molly Millars Lane in Wokingham, the business has since added body piercing and laser removal to its services.

The vacant site contains a bathroom and staff room, which are to be maintained, whilst the submission proposes changes to the rest of the usable space including building a partition wall to separate the baking section from the sales area.

Cooling services 24 Ltd, an engineering company specialising in air conditioning installation based in Bracknell, submitted the proposal ahead of a plan for the premises to be taken over by the, yet unnamed, bakery.

The business is currently listed as having an ‘active proposal to strike off’ on Companies House as the accounts, meant to be filed on April 30, are overdue.

Director of Coolin Services 24, Rafal Sztabinski, said that this is being handled by his accountant and more information “should be known today.”
