Mill Park Café

This little lakeside café is located on the edge of Mill Pond in Wildridings. Although often known for the normally packed McDonalds, this café is a gem that often evades those not headed for the lake.

A top spot for early risers and dog owners as an excellent start to the day.

A reviewer on Trip Advisor said: “What a gem called here for breakfast and not disappointed. Met the most wonderful staff so friendly and accommodating.

“Ate a really well cooked small plate breakfast which was cooked to perfection along with coffee.

“This is a lovely cafe set beside a pond and any money you pop in the charity pot goes to buy food for the ducks and birds. So cute. It is so homely and spotlessly clean. The bathroom facilities are also very clean.”

Lakeview Café

Lakeview café is a little outside Bracknell town in the village of Winkfield.

Set looking over the fishing lakes, the setting is said to be relaxing and idyllic. Perfect for a weekend breakfast or brunch.

At busy times, a 45 minute wait is sometimes expected but for views across the lake and their stunning breakfast menu the wait is worth it. The café is cash-only so don’t forget to drop by an ATM on your way there.

A reviewer said: “Revisited for the first time since the start of CV19 and found the food to be even better than I remembered it to be.

“We went for brunch for which we chose their amazing veggie breakfast and they even had Gluten Free bread to go with my wife's breakfast.

“Judging by the usual happy faces of the other folk eating there, the meaty options are every bit as good as the veggie ones. Oh, they also do a very drinkable cup of coffee, made in a cafetière.

“If you want to visit somewhere a little different with great food and a view over the fishing lakes, this is the place to go.”
