Bracknell News:

Broadmoor Hospital has submitted proposals to change the use an on-site, but outside the secure perimeter, building from an office into staff accommodation.

The Ashes, which was originally built as a single-family home before being converted into an IT training centre, is situated on a plot near Kentigern Drive – approximately 400m from the new entrance building that serves the secure hospital.

It is served by two parking spaces to the front of the property and there are an additional 50 spaces situated at the rear of the site.

The proposed flat would also be comprised of a study, kitchen and dining space, lounge, bathroom, and a separate toilet.

Plan to build a new two-storey home and car port in Warfield (22/00458/FUL)

Bracknell News:

An application has been submitted proposing the erection of a new detached home and car port in Warfield.

The dwelling is proposed to be built on land to the east of Avery Lane and north of Watersplash Lane, following the implementation of a controversial 116-home development which was approved in 2018.

This proposal is for the development of plot 109, originally approved as a three-storey tower unit within the 116-home application, which had been left to allow for a car park to service the show homes.

The new plan would see the replacement of the tower unit with a two-storey, four-bedroom dwelling whilst keeping the original car port proposal.

The garden is approximately 53 metres long and consists mainly of open lawn with a small orchard at the southern end set furthest from the existing two-bedroom bungalow.

Vehicular access to the application site from Wokingham Road, provided along the existing drive and to the side of Number 544, is set to be improved and extended.
