Eccentric designs from a UK based dog fashion designer have been seen throughout the Royal Ascot grounds this year celebrating the start of a new era as we head out of lockdown.

Fashion designer, Stacey from the company Franktastichounds gifted local and well known pup Minty with a wardrobe fit for the races this year.

Minty attended with owner, Abagail, who said that the one-year-old Italian Greyhound ‘definitely had a better outfit' than her.

As a regular customer of Stacey’s designs, the flamboyant and eccentric dress was gifted to Minty specially made to wear to the races.

Minty is one of three Italian Greyhounds which are popular around the town. The other siblings are called Choccy and Chippy.

Owner, Abagail Silver said: “Franktastichounds make most of their clothes. I live on the London Road in Ascot (for the past 10 years) and walking distance to the Ascot Racecourse - it's actually where we normally walk our dogs!  My dogs are fairly well known in the Ascot area, especially the local Starbucks where the staff always treat them to puppacinos.”

Minty has also been featured in the Tails of Windsor & Ascot book which is being created by pet photographers, Chris and Sue Miller. This is part of a fundraiser campaign to raise money for Berkshire Search and Rescue.
