Plans have been approved for the erection of three self-build houses on land in Bracknell despite generating a number of objections.

The applicants submitted the proposal for the detached buildings to be constructed on part of the gardens to the rear of 29 Warfield Road and 7 Sherring Close.

The scheme is a revision to prior planning permission granted earlier this year, which was originally for three open market detached houses with associated landscaping, parking and access but has been amended to be self-build homes.

The previous application had received 15 public complaints lodged against the plan from local residents.

As previously, all three houses will remain as three-bedroom dwellings, however, Plots 1 and 2 will now include the provision of a bedroom within the roof.

Each home is set to have three car parking spaces, provided via driveway parking and with garages for plots one and two and a car port for plot three.

The plots will also include a rear garden with an area for bin and cycle storage.

Changes to the footprints of the original proposal were needed due to the soil conditions. A soil survey was commissioned in April 2022 which revealed that, due to the state of the ground, the foundations for these houses would need to be deeper.
