"I’ve turned my pain into purpose and am now helping mums everywhere through the challenges of motherhood."

These are inspiring words of Charlotte 'Lottie' Shuter, a mum from Ascot who shares the highs and lows of parenting through her podcast.

Lottie openly talks about her struggles with mental health following the birth of her two children.

She said: "I suffered with a very traumatic birth with my first child where I could have died. As a result of this, I suffered some PTSD. I also then struggled with post natal depression following the birth of my second child.

"I noticed a huge gap for a platform that helps mums to feel seen, heard and less alone when they are feeling the lows that can often come with motherhood. It’s often extremely difficult to convey your feelings when you don’t understand them yourself but other mums going through the same thing will know exactly what you’re feeling."

Social media has been a useful tool in raising awareness of mental health including postpartum and postnatal depression.

As such, Lottie has created a podcast called 'Tits, tums and all things mum' where she speaks to celebrity mums, authors and expert speakers to provide relatable content to other mums listening online.

She said: "I have had my Instagram for around six years but in the last few years I’ve turned it into a space where I talk about the highs and lows of motherhood.

"I open up about everything from my mental health to postpartum issues and have created a community of mums who can relate to the things I post. Nothing is off limits on my platforms and I talk about the more uncomfortable things that most mums are probably feeling in order to help them feel less alone."

As well as this Lottie is launching a 'Patreon survival guide' on Wednesday, June 1, to give mums the tools, knowledge, advice and tips to improve their motherhood experience and tackle the challenges that come with being a parent.

Adding:"I’ve turned my pain into purpose and am now helping mums everywhere through the challenges of motherhood."
