HUNDREDS of runners from across Bracknell hit the streets of Binfield on Sunday, May 22 as they took part in the Binfield 10k.

The 10K run around Binfield is a great local event for runners of all abilities, organised by volunteers.

It aims to bring the local community together and all profits made are donated to local charities.

George Thomas came first in the 10k race, finishing in 34 minutes and 48 seconds.

Bathany Armitage finished first out of the women at 44 minuts and 36 seconds.

The weather stayed dry for the event, with runners lapping up the sun and support from the cheering crowds as they ran around the village.

Posting on Facebook, Binfield 10k said: "And that’s a wrap for another year! Huge thank yous from us to our wonderful sponsors, to Binfield CE Primary School, to all the fab community groups and everyone else who joined in - we couldn’t do it without you."
