Former Reading defender Ramarni Medford-Smith has joined non-league Bracknell Town.

The 23-year-old left-back made one first team appearance for the Royals but was a regular for the Under-23 and Under-18s side, as well as a loan at Torquay United.

Departing RG2 in 2020, Medford-Smith stayed local with sides such as Marlow and Farnborough before becoming a free agent at the culmination of the 2021/22 campaign.

Speaking after the arrival, the Robins’ manager Bobby Wilkinson said: “Ramarni is an outstanding left-back who started his career at Reading. I worked with him when I was at Wealdstone, and I want to help him on his journey back to the pro game.”

Bracknell have been on the up over recent years, winning the Isthmian South-Central Division last season, earning promotion to the Southern League Premier Division South.
