THOUSANDS of residents tied up their laces to take part in the annual Bracknell half marathon on Sunday.
Competitors ran the 13-mile course, starting at The Lexicon, making a loop around the town centre before crossing the finishing line on May 15.
The event, celebrating headline sponsor The Lexicon’s fifth birthday, saw elite runners achieving personal bests to beginners.
Runners who took part in the race supported those affected by the crisis in Ukraine, with proceeds donated to the British Red Cross: DEC Ukraine Appeal, UNICEF and the Disasters Emergency Committee.
Rob Morris comment: “Congratulations to all those who took part in The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon.
"We were delighted to play host to the many supporters cheering on runners as they set off from Bond Square and then crossed the finish line in Braccan Walk. I’m happy to announce that Team Lexicon, fundraising on behalf of The Lexicon Charity Fund has raised more than £3,500 to support charitable causes!"
