A SALT therapy room in Bracknell recently opened its doors to customers and is the first of its kind in Berkshire.
The Salt Kingdom, based at Forest Park Business Units, welcomed its first lot of visitors on March 25.
The new room offers individuals the chance to relax, unwind and experience the health benefits of salt.
The type of salt therapy the venue offers is halotherapy.
This above-ground treatment is made possible by the use of pure sodium chloride placed into a halogenerator.
The machine crushes and grinds it into micro sized particles which travel around the room.

In the salt room, the low concentration of salt is infused into your lungs, where it helps to improve breathing conditions such as asthma and allergies.
And it is also said to improve skin conditions including acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
Family and adult sessions are on offer with the children’s area featuring a ‘salt beach’ play area.
The family sessions are held seven days a week from 11.30am to 5.15 pm, with the last one beginning at 4.30pm.
And adults only sessions run seven days a week from 9am to 11am, with the last session starting at 10.15am.
The venue has already a five-star rating on Google with 51 customer reviews.
One reviewer said they highly recommended The Salt Kingdom.
They said: “I loved the smell of salt and felt so good. The place is very clean and relaxing. Alina is lovely and kind and very professional. She is great at explaining all health benefits the salt inhalation can give.”
Another customer said: “Really tidy and very nice atmosphere. Very welcoming people and supportive. The sessions are 45 minutes, but I could’ve stayed hours.”
Owner Alina Constantin, who lives in Bracknell said she’s had a “very good but unexpected” response from visitors since opening.
“Salt therapy is really well known in east Europe and so I thought it would take a while to explain how it works to customers but I’ve had a lot of good reviews so far,” she said.
“I opened The Salt Kingdom is Bracknell because I have family members with breathing and skin conditions, and it was getting really expensive for us to travel to the nearest salt room in London.”

Alina added at the moment she’s held more adult sessions over family sessions.
She said: “Families have responded well to the play area, the children use it as if they’re actually playing on a beach.
“Because the sessions are only 45 minutes the children don’t get bored of it and it’s nice for the parents to be able to just sit there, watch their children enjoy the salt beach and relax.”
Alina explained she hopes to open up an extra room in the future so that she can hold more than one session at the same time.
