FAMILIES will have to wait a little longer to enjoy the splash pad during the warm weather.

Winkfield Parish Council informed residents on Monday, May 9, that the Locks Ride Recreation Ground splashpad remains closed to the public.

The splash pad has jets of water and overhead buckets that gradually fill with water and then suddenly spill down onto the people below.

Announcing the news, the parish council said: "The splashpad remains closed at this time. We are waiting for some new parts to be fitted. Once fitted and we have a clear water sample confirmation we will be able to open."

Parents have already been asking when the new splashpad will open on the council's Facebook Page.

Winkfield Parish Council are not able to confirm an opening date of the splashpad.

Families are able to access the play area and sand pits and enjoy the sunshine this week.
