A WINNERSH teenager has been banned from a part of London after being caught with a knife at Waterloo station.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was carrying a ‘large hunting style knife’ at the railway station on March 24, 2022.

He admitted to possessing a blade in a public place at North London Youth Court the following day.

Appearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 22, the Winnersh youngster was handed a youth rehabilitation order with ‘intense supervision’.

As part of his sentence, he was told he must remain at his Winnersh address every evening from 8.30pm to 7am and from 12pm to 2pm every Saturday and Sunday for the next three months.

He was also banned from entering the London borough of Newham for three months.

Furthermore, the defendant must take part in a knife awareness course for eleven days.

The teenager was made to pay £180 in court fees and the hunting knife was forfeited and destroyed.
