When looking for the perfect evening out with the family, Bracknell Forest has a vast array of restaurants, but who can deny oneself of that little touch of Italy.

From pasta, pizza and amazing fresh fish dishes, authentic Italian cooking really is on your doorstep.

We have put together five of the top Italian restaurants and takeaways in the area - according to TripAdvisor.

Ruchetta

Ruchetta is one of Bracknell Forest’s worst kept secrets. A tiny building just off the town centre, it offers an intimate dining experience with outstanding Italian cuisine.

The extensive menu includes fresh pasta, oysters and a vast selection of fish dishes, including the traditional Italian pizzas.

Perfect for that special occasion, or simply an evening out with friends, you will find a warm atmosphere and an exquisite fine wine list to choose from.

One person said: “Stunning food and service! If you can’t travel to Italy any time soon this restaurant is a must. Wine quite expensive but very nice. Lots of fresh pasta, and delicious fish.
The waiters have a civilised sense of humour which just adds to the wonderful ambience.”

Villa Roma Italian Coffee and Takeaway

Villa Roma, on Crowthorne high street is classed as the number one restaurant to visit in Crowthorne village. With 163 reviews it has been awarded 4.5 stars from past and present diners.

The establishment not only is classed as an Italian, but it also serves breakfast and the most beautiful selection of coffees for those early risers.

The only drawback of this quaint Italian is the space if you do choose to frequent their restaurant for a sit-down meal. According to reviwers, there is only space for 20 people inside, however with warmer weather on the horizon, there is more seating outside.

One person described it as a gem, saying: “I can’t put into words how much I love their food. Authentic, delicious, and so so so tasty. Me and 2 close friends order here frequently and it knocks it out of the park every time. Recommend all the seafood pastas, the bruschetta and classic pizzas.”

Another reviewer commented: “We go here frequently for breakfast, lunch, dinners and even take aways. The seafood pasta transport me immediately to Rome.

“All food is wonderful and the Chef/owner is clearly passionate about his food. Keep it up please, we love you! Oo and the coffee is delicious!”

“Can’t wait to go back - the sort of place you’d like to become a regular and want to visit regularly. Oh, and the Limoncello makes the walk home much more interesting!! 10/10.”
