Bracknell leisure centre Coral Reef Waterworld has relaunched its monthly special educational needs sessions.

The centre, managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Bracknell Forest Council, initially launched the programme before the pandemic but Covid-19 impacted its operation.

The Accessible for Everyone sessions offer exclusive access for customers with disabilities along with their families and carers, to enjoy Coral Reef and its waterslides.

Customers benefit from reduced ticket prices and carers can attend for free. The team has seen over 600 visitors to the monthly sessions since the start of the year.

General Manager, Craig Flippance, commented: “Inclusivity is one of the Everyone Active core values so it’s important we can offer a safe and comfortable atmosphere for these children and their families.

“This is one of the only prorgrammes of its kind in the area, so we’re proud to be able to deliver them and offer more opportunities for children with special educational needs.”

Cllr John Harrison, Executive Member for Culture, Delivery and Public Protection, added: “Coral Reef Waterworld is one of the gems of the borough, attracting many visitors each year. The programme starting up again is not only welcome news after being curtailed by the pandemic, it also means that more people can enjoy this fantastic facility.”

Sessions include exclusive use of the pool and the centre’s five iconic waterslides between 3:30pm and 8:45pm. Please see below for upcoming sessions:
