THE Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon event is less than one month away and participants are getting ready to put their best foot forward.

Ahead of Bracknell's biggest running event, details have been confirmed of timings and the charities it will be supporting.

Managed by Everyone Active on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council, the Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon returns on Sunday, May 15.

The event itself is a fast and flat half marathon whilst taking in the heart of Bracknell.

The race appeals to people of all abilities from beginner to the more seasoned runner. Many runners know the course well, having returned to run it year after year and Everyone Active hope they will be back again this year.

Mark Tennant, Contract Manager at Everyone Active, said: “We are delighted to once again be delivering The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon. It is a challenge that will appeal to club and social runners alike. If you are not able to run this year, we would love to welcome you onto our team of fantastic volunteers.”

This year, runners that opt to register for the race and make a donation will be supporting the following charities for those affected by the crisis in the Ukraine: The British Red Cross, UNICEF, Disasters Emergency Committee.

The Lexicon also has its own team of five taking part in the half marathon raising funds for The Lexicon Charity Fund (Charity Number: 1155173), which is managed in conjunction with Berkshire Community Foundation, an independent charity that connects local people with local causes and projects.

Spectators are also encouraged to line the route and cheer on the runners as they run past.

Entry cost starts at just £25.
