Detailed plans have been submitted for two huge developments in Bracknell Forest and the Wokingham area this week.

On the outskirts of Bracknell, developers have submitted details for a plan to replace Beaufort Park with 68 homes.

Over in Wokingham Borough, Shinfield Studios film production company has submitted more detailed plans for the massive development.

Elsewhere, there have been householder applications for home improvements in Ascot and Earley.

Taylor Wimpey have submitted details for its controversial plan to knock down the long vacant Beaufort Park office building and replace it with 68 homes.

The details include how construction will take place, an assessment of the risk of contamination, and how Taylor Wimpey hopes to manage surface water drainage.

The developers have also submitted information on how they hope to enhance biodiversity.

The details relate to an outline application to demolish Beaufort Park and replace it with 68 homes, which was refused by Bracknell Forest Council’s planning committee but approved on appeal in 2018.

In November last year, more detailed plans relating to the scale, layout, appearance and landscaping of the development were narrowly approved by the committee.

Owners apply for large extension to home in Ascot (22/00155/FUL)

Mr & Mrs Eves, the owners of 95 Prince Andrew Way in North Ascot have applied to build two and one storey extension to the home.

The extension would provide them with an enlarged kitchen dining room with a new living room downstairs, and an enlarged first floor providing a fourth bedroom, a bathroom and an ensuite for one of the existing bedrooms.

The property currently has three bedrooms.

The project would involve demolishing their conservatory and a front extension which serves as the entrance to the home and their garage.

The existing garage would be converted into a snug, with three parking spaces being provided outside.

Parking details for Shinfield Studios (Wokingham app 220717)

The developers of Thames Valley Science Park have submitted car parking details and other information related to its huge Creative Media Hub.

Information in the application includes access and parking, bike storage and parking, electric vehicle charging points and plans for a proposed bus stop.

The information submitted is for phase 2A and 2B of the development.

Phase 2A contains three sound studios, and would come with 15 regular spaces and three disabled spaces.

Phase 2B contains a workship, an office, and two sound studios, and would come with 653 car parking spaces, 40 bike spaces and five motorbike spaces.

The plan for a permanent filming location at Thames Valley Science Park were approved last October and can go ahead now a section 106 agreement has been reached.

The park was originally envisaged as a hub for science innovation, but has been adapted into a site for film and TV production.

The owners of a bungalow in Earley have submitted a fresh plan to replace it with a new four bedroom, two-and-a-half storey home.

The existing bungalow only has room fortwo bedrooms, a separate lounge and kitchen and one bathroom.

The new home would provide four double-bedrooms upstairs, and improved living quarters, including a kitchen dining area and a separate family room downstairs.

Even though a similar application, submitted in last July, was approved by Wokingham Borough Council’s planning department in August, applicant Usman Ulhaq has made adjustments.
