A new café offering a unique take on Indian cuisine will be opening in Wokingham town centre this month.

The Sultan café is an extension of Wokingham’s oldest Indian restaurant which was re-opened after a £100K facelift and menu revamp this year.

The fully-licenced eatery which will be located in the heart of Wokingham will launch it’s opening event on Thursday, March 3 with half price on all food and drink.

Sunil Chopra, Sultan Café director, said: “The menu offers a wide selection of dishes and drinks with the emphasis on fresh produce that’s locally sourced.

“We offer something for everyone, including freshly baked naans and parathas with a filling of your choice, Indian lunchboxes, light and tasty salads, cakes and ice creams, together with a range of delicious hot and cold drinks.

“If you haven’t got time to sit down, we offer a full takeaway service, including drinks, and are happy to deliver to businesses in an around the town centre.

“We’ll also be serving a proper breakfast, but it’ll be a little different from the full English – more like a full Indian!”

The award-winning chef, Chef Kuldeep has overseen the creation of the menu at Sultan’s upstairs restaurant which includes dishes such as duck, mussels and rabbits, together with a range of vegan and vegetarian-friendly dishes.

Sunil continued: “The interior has been extensively refurbished to give the cafe a comfortable yet modern feel where people can refresh themselves or come and do some work while using the free Wi-Fi.

“We’ve got a fantastic location and the Indian-centric menu offers something unique to Wokingham’s café scene making Sultan the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by.”
