The owners of a £3 million home in Ascot have applied to knock it down and replace it with a huge six bedroom mansion.

That is just one of the planning applications submitted in our area this week.

In nearby Winkfield Row a plan to build two homes in a backland development has resurfaced.

Over in Wokingham, plans have been submitted to make changes to a townhouse and add a floor to a family home.

Plan to replace £3m+ home in Ascot (21/01172/FUL)

The owners of Tree Tops in Bodens Ride, Ascot have applied to knock down and replace the £3 million plus home with a new one.

Tree Tops is a two-storey home with outbuildings and an indoor swimming pool.

According to The Move Market property site, it is valued at £3.163 million.

But its owners want to knock it down and replace it with an equally grand house.

The new home would have six bedrooms, be two-and-a-half storeys tall, and come with an external swimming pool.

Changes to Wokingham townhouse (Wokingham app 220111)

The owners of Evolution House in the town centre have applied to convert it to create a two bedroom home and space for a therapy and treatment room business.

The ground floor would be divided between the business aspect, which would provide the occupants with two treatment rooms, an office and a reception, and the residential aspect having a kitchen and combined lounge dining room.

Upstairs, there would be a master bedroom with ensuite, the second bedroom and a toilet.

The plan also involves creating a new entrance for the home, a rear extension, a rear balcony and the installation of five rooflights.

Evolution House at 2-6 Easthampstead Road, currently has seven office rooms, a kitchen, store and utility space.

Addition of new floor to home (Wokingham app 220230)

The owners of number 23 Molly Millars Lane have applied to substantially enlarge the home.

The house is currently one-and-a-half storeys, with two bedrooms on the ground floor and another upstairs, with two bathrooms an open plan kitchen living room and a dining room.

Now, the owners want to raise the roof to provide an additional storey and one more bedroom.

Three bedrooms would be moved upstairs, with a master bedroom and ensuite, and a family bathroom.

On the ground floor a bedroom and other facilities would remain, with the living room being extended.

Land to Homes Ltd has applied to build two new four bedroom homes on land to the rear of 42 Locks Ride in Winkfield Row.

The two homes would be built in a ‘backland development’ on the triangular field next to the Mill Ride Golf Club.

The application has been submitted after a similar plan for two new homes on the site was dismissed on appeal in September last year.

The plan involves the demolition of five ‘dilapidated’ existing buildings to make way for the new homes.
