A READING man has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment after Bracknell teenager Marnie Clayton was been found ‘safe and well’.

Thames Valley Police confirmed on Monday night that after a “significant” police investigation involving officers from Hampshire Constabulary, the 18-yearold woman was located in Basingstoke.

Thousands of people across the country shared the police’s appeal to find Ms Clayton after she was last seen leaving Windsor nightclub Atik, on William Street, at around 2am on Sunday, January 16. News of her disappearance made national headlines as police were ‘inundated’ with messages from the public.

CONSTRUCTION of the borough’s newestleisure centre is taking shape ahead of plans to open later this year. Pictures of the Carnival Hub development revealthe huge leisure centre works under way in Wokingham.

Plans for centre include a library and ‘cultural space’, and Wokingham Borough Council has said it expects to open the site in the summer.

It will include swimming pools and a splash pad, a spa area, a larger fitness suite, studio spaces, a fourcourt sports hall, cafe, and large library space.There will also be tiered bleacher seating, and lighting in the main hallto make it suitable for cultural events

A SCAMMER has demanded thousands of pounds from a “young man” who she tricked into an ‘intimate’ video call.

Thames Valley Police has reported yet another ‘sextortion case’ in the Ascot area after a string of similar blackmail incidents over the past year. Police, covering Ascot, Windsor, and Maidenhead, said the young man received a friend request from an ‘attractive young woman’ and they began to Facetime.

The force said the fraudster removed her clothes during one call and asked the man to do the same, before intimate acts took place
