A SCAMMER has demanded thousands of pounds from a "young man" who she tricked into an 'intimate' video call.

Thames Valley Police has reported yet another ‘sextortion case’ in the local area after a string of similar blackmail incidents over the past year.

Police, covering Ascot, Windsor, and Maidenhead, said the young man recieved a friend request from an ‘attractive young woman’ and they began to Facetime.

The force said the fraudster removed her clothes during one call and asked the man to do the same, before intimate acts took place.

Thames Valley Police said: “Immediately afterwards, she informed him she had recorded the whole incident and demanded money.

"She then created a group chat with him and all the members of his family from his Facebook page and demanded an immediate payment of £50 or she would post the video/images."

The woman went on to send the images to the man 'to show she was serious' and then significantly inclreased the demand to £5,800.

Police said after it was proved the boy could not afford the higher sum the scammer reduced it to the original £50 demand.

He has not sent the money and the fraudster is still messaging threats of sneding out the pictures.

Police warned 'yet again' these incidents are becoming increasingly regular and have advised everyone, including men, women and senior citizens to be aware.

A post from the force online said: “Please do not say, write, text, photograph, or video anything online, or on your phone, that you would not be happy for your family, relatives, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, employer, or anyone in your contact list to see.

"I am putting several of these out each week. Imagine the hurt and embarrassment they could cause to someone and their family. Please advise everyone you know. "
