Local residents have been invited to dance into the new year as a strictly Come Dancing star relaunches ballroom dancing lessons across the community.

Celebrity Ian Waite is restarting his dance lessons in Wokingham after a pause during the pandemic.

These classes are planned to start back on Jan 18 and run for 10 weeks at St Crispins school in Wokingham.

The celebrity promises classes, for all ages and ability, will be 'energetic' and 'upbeat' with dances including many of the Strictly favourites.

There will be two sessions in Wokingham which includes the 'Fitstep' ballroom fittness craze and a late night couples ballroom dancing class.

Based in locations all over the country, the choreographer and TV personality launched the fitness revolution, Fitstep, with Natalie Lowe and Mark Forester in 2013 and have been going from strength to strength ever since.

Ian has been wowing online audiences through the pandemic with his online and virtual classes, which are continuing into the new year.
