To celebrate and commemorate Reading Football Club's 150th anniversary on December 25th, The Reading Chronicle embarked on a journey to find out the answer to one question above all: What makes Reading FC special?

The journey took us (virtually) from Berkshire to South Africa to Iceland, America, Wales, and back again.

Quickly it turned into something much more than a history lesson on Reading Football Club. It became an ode to what really matters. Or rather who really matters. This became a celebration of the people who have made 150 years of Reading Football Club possible and give reason for excitement about the next century and a half: all of you fans.

In total 15 figures from Reading's history were interviewed, totalling more than 5,000 Royals games played or watched. And while the answers greatly differ (part of the fun), one thing stayed constant: the appreciation of this great club's supporters.

So without further ado, The Reading Chronicle is delighted to bring you...
