As the year comes to an end and we come down from the excitement of Christmas, there is no better time to spend with your loved ones than that limbo period between Christmas and New Year.

However, if your bank account feels particularly light at this time of year, a trip out with the family may feel rather daunting. Which is why we at the Bracknell news have got it covered.

Below are some suggestions of activities to enjoy in and around Bracknell this season that won’t burn a whole in your pocket.

South Hill Park

Bracknell’s well known South Hill Arts Centre may be famous for it’s annual panto at Christmas, but least we do not forget the picturesque grounds which are open to the public 365 days a year. Wrap up warm because the landscape gardens, lakes and woodlands are perfect for a stroll in this magical winter wonderland.

The new educational nature trail which was opened in the spring is fantastic for adults and children alike. Just follow the wildlife themed wood carving through the grounds and you’re in for an enchanting afternoon out.

After your walk around the grounds, the Atrium bar and restaurant is also open between Christmas and New Year to enjoy a delicious refreshment.
