Christmas is well and truly here and the festivities have begun, bringing with it Bracknell's famous Christmas markets after a two-year hiatus.

The pandemic may have put a halt to the annual markets last year, but this year they are due back in all their festive glory.

Bracknell's markets are popular in town and see hundreds of people flock to Union Square to pick up unique gifts and treats.

This year will be no different, so here's everything you need to know about the Bracknell's Christmas markets 2021...

Bracknell Christmas market dates and opening times 2021

There is one main market in The Lexicon town centre.

12 traditional wooden chalets surround Union Square and visitors can indulge in a German bratwurst, spiced warm mulled wine, cheese and plenty of desserts.

The Christmas market is on until Friday, December 24.

Councillor Ash Merry, Mayor of the Borough of Bracknell Forest said at the time of opening: “I am so pleased that the Christmas Market is back at The Lexicon. With the pretty chalets, enticing aromas and eye-catching gifts, I’m sure it will be as popular as ever.”

Where can I park for the Christmas markets?

Parent and child spaces can be found at the Braccan Walk and High Street car parks.

The Avenue car park doesn't have dedicated parent and child spaces, its spaces are larger than normal to accommodate the needs of parents with young children.

How else can I travel to the Bracknell Christmas markets?

There are plenty of transport options to Bracknell that don't require a car.

Bracknell train station is located within a 5-minute walk of the Lexicon.

What will feature at the Bracknell Christmas markets?

In Princess Square and Braccan Walk there will be festive selfie stations where you can take pictures with your friends.

And while you’re there, why not make a donation to Bracknell Foodbank to help those on a low income pay their heating bills.

There's a star maze in Princess Square if the little-ones get tired from all the Christmas shopping.

From December 20 you can have your face painted by the glitter girls, located in Princess Square from 11am - 1.30pm and 2.30pm - 5pm.

From this week, the illuminated Queen of Stars and her fantastic furry friend, The Wishmas Wolf will be strolling through The Lexicon, regaling shoppers with their festive themed stories and tales.

Make sure that you follow these shining bright story tellers where you can make a special Christmas wish and watch your star fly high.

There's also the The Lexicon Fairy Godmother and Twinkle who will be popping in and out of shops on December 11, 12, 18, 21 and 23.
