Several people have recently appeared in court for breaking lockdown rules in the last 12 months.

The fines relate to gatherings of two or more people, travelling to Devon during lockdown and gatherings in public.

Here are five people who have been fined in Berkshire.

Leah Foster

The 19-year-old from Cromwell Road, Newbury was fined £1,760 for leaving a Tier 4 area during lockdown back in March.

She was found guilty on September 3 and ordered to pay a victims surcharge of £176.

Sky Rymell

The 19-year-old Jevington, Bracknell was fined for breaching lockdown rules.

Rymell participated in an outdoor gathering on November 8, 2021 with consisted of two or more people at Birch Hill Recreation Centre.

She pleaded not guilty and was fined £200, forced to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and to pay costs of £100.

Shahzad Tazain

This 47-year-old from Park Lane Birmingham was fined £1760 for participating in a gathering of two or more people indoors.

He met up with other people during Covid-19 lockdown in Emmer Green, Reading.

He was found guilty on September 17 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £176 and costs of £100.

Stanley Ash

Found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people inside a house in Cheap Street, Newbury.

The 23-year-old from Faircross Court, Thatcham was fined £1,760, forced to pay a victim surcharge of £176 and to pay costs of £90.

Danielle Abbott

The 29-year-old was fined £1,760 for travelling to Devon when it was in Tier 4 lockdown.

The Woodley resident left her home in Woodley to visit Devon on March 13 and appeared in the Cornwall Magistrates' Court on October 1.
